An annual tradition continues for another summer. The picturesque village of Losser, situated along the Dinkel River between Oldenzaal and the German border, will return to the time of the artist Pieter Brueghel the Elder ( ca. 1525 – 1569). This grand festival, which attracts more than 100,000 visitors each year, has grown into one of the largest and most popular events in the region. Artists and folklore groups from all over the Netherlands and Belgium will transport you back to the Middle Ages. Like a true Brueghelian you will be eating, drinking and having fun amongst the beggars, lepers and troublemakers. A unique experience not to be missed! With plenty of troubadours and peddlers this authentic atmosphere will be a perfect day out. The Brueghel Festival takes place every summer on the last weekend of the school holiday.
